KSU 2019 Animal Industry And Culinary Tour

We have had the chance to welcome 13 students from KSU, a Muscle Biology and Meat Science professor and a Genetics professor here in Spain for a great 10 day Study Tour. We stayed a few days in Barcelona, with some chocolate and tapas tastings as well as art and architecture tours. Then around Girona we have done more Agriculture and Animal Industry related activities such as the Mas Bes dairy farm or the meat plant Costa Brava. But also two organic farms, pork and cattle, and the DalĂ­ Museums, many local restaurants, a cooking class with fishermen, and a visit to a medieval village. On our last night as a farewell dinner we have had the chance to enjoy a tasting menu in one of the best restaurants of Girona with modernised Catalan traditional recepies.
